Specimens: BNHS, ZSI, NHMUK, MCZ Notes: Overlap with bonvaloti Oustalet 1892 nearly nil within India though the nominate subspecies occurs in Tibet along the Tsangpo bend. Mishmi hill birds are probably stragglers from that population, and not a breeding one.
