    Taxonomy: Sometimes (e.g., IOC) A. iouschistos recognised as an independent monotypic species with the name 'Rufous-fronted Tit'; distinct from A. bonvaloti that retains the name 'Black-browed Tit'. The regional population of Black-browed Tit will then will be the nominate subspecies of A. bonvaloti.

      Distribution: N Bengal, Sikkim, W Arunachal, and very rarely in E Arunachal (Mishmi hills).
      Specimens: BNHS, ZSI, NHMUK, MCZ
      Notes: Overlap with bonvaloti Oustalet 1892 nearly nil within India though the nominate subspecies occurs in Tibet along the Tsangpo bend. Mishmi hill birds are probably stragglers from that population, and not a breeding one.
