      Notes: Ludlow & Kinnear (1944, Ibis 86 (2): 176) does mention a specimen within the Indian side of the border; but the same could not be located.

      Taxonomy: Includes infima Ripley 1950 (E Uttarakhand and W Nepal) as well as limes Meinertzhagen 1922 (Gilgit and Kashmir).
      Distribution: Gilgit, Ladakh (straggler), Kashmir, Jammu, Himachal, and Uttarakhand – sporadic in adjacent Punjab, Haryana, and N Uttar Pradesh.

      Notes: N Bengal report not investigated.

    Distribution: Uttarakhand, N Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal till extreme east in Upper Noa-Dihing valley.

    IUCN: Least Concern. SoIB: Moderate. WLPA: Schedule-II.

    Distribution: E Uttarakhand (local), N Bengal, Sikkim, W Arunachal – locally in C and NE Arunachal, Nagaland, and W Manipur (historical).
    Type Specimen: ZSI#30032 (Syntype).
    Specimens: BNHS, ZSI, NHMUK, RBINS, UMMZ, AMNH, FMNH, MCZ, ROM, YPM
    IUCN: Least Concern. SoIB: Moderate. WLPA: Schedule-II.
    Notes: Reports from Meghalaya and Cachar not investigated. Distribution in Nagaland and W Manipur based on RA2012 (not AR2001). No recent reports from NE hill states apart from Arunachal. Investigation desirable.
