Distribution: E Himachal, Uttarakhand foothills, N Bengal, east till about C Assam, hills of C India from E Rajasthan through Madhya Pradesh extending till NE Ghats; Deccan hillocks; W India from S Gujarat till the southern tip of the peninsula; SE Ghats and associated hills in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra.
