1010. Streak-throated BarwingActinodura waldeni Godwin-Austen, 1874 Taxonomy: Whether daflaensis subspecies should be treated as a subspecies of A. nipalensis or A. waldeni is an open question. Mishmi hill birds are included under daflaensis by RA2012 though the photographs show birds that are markedly different and closer to the nominate subspecies. SE Arunachal birds has been suggested as an undescribed subspecies (Srinivasan et al. 2008, FT 26: 96), but it is uncertain whether those are age-related variations. IUCN: Least Concern. SoIB: Moderate. WLPA: Schedule-II. Endemic: Eastern Himalaya.
