Alternative Names: Bengal Weaver, Black-throated Weaver, Black-throated Weaver Bird Distribution: Through Indian subcontinent from Jammu south through all states in the Indo-Gangetic and Brahmaputra plains, E Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, NW Maharashtra; on the E peninsula from Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Andhra, extending to N Karnataka; sporadically in Manipur valley; recently further south in Chennai and Bengaluru region and expanding further south to Coimbatore and Madurai.
