      Distribution: C Indian highlands of Madhya Pradesh, NE Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Chota Nagpur plateau of Jharkhand, W Bengal, and Odisha continuing along the NE Ghats of Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and NE Andhra. Semi-disjunctly in W Ghats from Surat Dangs all the way south till the tip of the peninsula; east through SE Ghats reaching the outskirts of Bengaluru (Karnataka) and Vellore (Tamil Nadu).
      Type Specimen: NHMUK#1880.1.1.2938a (Holotype).
